Founded in 1953, Sacred Heart School (SHS) is Danville, Virginia's only Catholic school and the city's oldest non-public school. SHS is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Virginia Catholic Education Association. All full-time faculty are certified by the State of Virginia.

What's Happening at SHS
Where Tradition Inspires Tomorrow
Since its inception in 1953, Sacred Heart School has been
offering the best education in the area. Students at SHS receive a
quality education from teachers who are invested in the success
of every student. SHS equips every student for success by
teaching advanced curriculum in all grade-levels and college
preparatory classes on the Junior High level. Students also receive
foreign language studies, music, art, and technology classes in
state of the art computer music labs.
