TESTS

1st period/3rd period

Geography 7th grade

We are studying maps and the tools used by geographers. We are completing a film about the history of the Earth.  We will then be doing more study on maps in Chapter 2

2nd period

American History    6th Grade

We are studying about the Civil War. This chapter is very involved and will take longer than usual to complete. Students will be taking notes, doing guided reading sheets and crossword puzzles in preparation for a chapter test in approximately 2 weeks. Our chapter test will be next Thursday, Sept. 16.  We will then see a great Civil War film called "Glory".

4th period

World History II

We have been studying the Age of Exploration in Chapter 15.  Test will be Thursday, Sept.9.   Chapter 16 will also focus on expansionism in the new world.  Students should begin working on their period newspaper.

World History I

We are studying Egypt in Chapter 2.  We have a special project to work on about Egypt.  It will be due Sept.22 when it will be presented orally to the class.  Semester project information has been given to students.

day7th period

Drama

We are learning how to act. We have completed our monologs and dialogs. In addition, we are working on improvisation. Students will be given their first play this week, and we will present it in the classroom.
