Social Studies 5 ~ Project Rubric Items

The rubric for the Social Studies Project will include but will not be limited to the following:

·         Typed copy adhering to all guidelines given.

·         Paper must be turned in on time or points will be lost.  (to be handed in during homeroom on Monday, 12/14.)  This means that it is READY to be turned in.  It should be in a report cover or stapled in the upper left-hand corner when Mrs. Kilgore collects them.  Please do not put the reports in binders or page protectors.

·         All mandatory sources used

·         Bibliography page (separate from report)

·         Cover page with all necessary information

·         Of course proper grammar and mechanics will be graded in the written report

·         Proper grammar will be noted in the oral report as well

·         Oral presentation must be loud and clear with plenty of eye contact!

·         Audience manners and participation will be noted.  Interruptions/distractions will result in a loss of points for that student.

·         Student is prepared the day he/she has been assigned to give his/her report.

·         Diorama or poster is complete and has good effort put into it.  It applies to the historical figure.

Students should give themselves ample time to type up their reports.  I am not lenient with printer excuses.  Late will be considered late when homeroom is over on 12/14.

Thank you!
