Fourth Grade

Spelling: We are going to learn the words in Lesson 28 this week. There will be a Spelling Test on Friday.

Science: We will work on Chapter 1 Lesson 4 “Organisms and Where They Live.” There will be no science quizzes this week.

Social Studies: We will finish Chapter 8 by Tuesday, April 23, 2013. There will be a Chapter 8 vocabulary quiz on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. The students will get the Chapter 8 study guide on Thursday, April 25, 2013. They will have a Chapter 8 Test on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. 

Language Arts: We will be learning about action verbs this week. There will be a graded worksheet on action verbs by the end of the week.

Fifth Grade

Science: The students will finish Chapter 1 "Plants and Their Parts" and complete a study guide. Their chapter test will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.

Social Studies: The students will get into two teams and complete group projects on Chapter 9 and Chapter 10 in Social Studies. They will create a quiz for their section, type a summary of their section, make a team poster, and present their poster to the class. This assignment will be counted as a chapter grade.

Vocabulary: The students will be learning the words in Unit 14 this week. There will be a test on Friday, April 26, 2013. 

Language Arts: We will learn about compound words and action verbs this week. There will be a graded worksheet on these skills by Friday, April 26, 2013.
