In a time when the Jewish Holocaust is questioned for its validity, we had the tremendous honor of meeting someone who experienced it first-hand.

Friday (Mar. 5) “Hats Off to Going Green”
Grab a hat to celebrate the opening of our “green” book fair. In keeping with our “green” theme, your hat should be one that you are “reusing” from another event. Faculty and Staff will be invited to a “sneak peek“ of the book fair at 7:45 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 am until 9:30 am.
Monday (Mar. 8) “Donuts for Dad and Muffins for Mom”
Bring your Dad in for a donut or Mom in for a muffin at the “Starbooks Café” before school begins. We will be opening the book fair at 7:30 am and offering a small breakfast for your VIP. Breakfast served from 7:30am-8:30am.
“Make it Count Monday”
Bring in items to recycle — plastic bottles, aluminum cans, newspapers, etc. Containers for recycling will be provided outside the library door for the remainder of the week.
Tuesday (Mar. 9) “Twisted Tuesday”
Wear your uniform backwards, inside out, mismatched socks, etc….to be entered in a drawing. Remember, anything you mix up must be part of your uniform.
Tuesday Night ”Going Green” Family Night
Join us for stew/bread or hot dogs, dessert, and a night of shopping and family fun at the Book Fair with raffles and a bake sale. (See attached form.)
Wednesday (Mar. 10) Wacky Wednesday
Wear a costume from any previous book fair. At some of the previous book fairs students dressed as rock stars, tourists, travel career person, animals, children from different cultures, etc. If you are new to Sacred Heart, please use a costume you have used for another event. Don’t forget our theme is to “Go Green”. Dress down regulations apply and remember to bring tennis shoes for recess and gym.
Thursday (Mar. 11) ”Take a Last Look”
We will close out the Book Fair by thanking teachers, staff and students for taking the time to support our “Going Green” Book Fair. A small snack will be given out during lunch. Students are requested to bring a gently used book to donate to Doves.

The first on-line edition of the school’s newspaper, The Heatbeat, can be seen by linking from our website.
The class will no longer be printing any hard copies for distribution. What a great way to save money on printing costs, as well as give our students first-hand experience with on-line publishing. The Journalism Class hopes that you enjoy this new publication form!

What's Happening at SHS

Where Tradition Inspires Tomorrow
Since its inception in 1953, Sacred Heart School has been
offering the best education in the area. Students at SHS receive a
